Roofing accessories are an essential element of every properly constructed roof. They prevent leaks, moisture accumulation in the under-roof space, serve to protect the interior of the roof from snow and dust, and also give the roof a beautiful finished look. In the roofing pie, each component element performs functions aimed at preserving and protecting the roof itself.

To create the necessary air flows in a ventilated roof, it is necessary to ensure the movement of air from the overhangs to the ridge. The under-roof space must also be protected from the penetration of birds, rodents and leaves.

Ventilation of the overhang is provided by overhang ridges (wavy roofing). Additional ventilation of roofs with a small angle of inclination is provided by overhang grilles and nets. With a flat finishing coating (e.g. bitumen tiles), the overhang is ventilated by a perforated soffit.
