Transparent fiberglass slate reinforced with TM Fibroplast fiberglass.
Roofing fiberglass is a composite material based on polyester resins, which are reinforced with fiberglass. The proportions are selected in such a way as to ensure minimum weight with maximum strength and flexibility. This makes it 4 times lighter than metal roofing building materials, more resistant to mechanical damage and UV radiation, and most importantly, safe for humans.
Transparent roofing panels or slate is made both colorless and by adding coloring components. The light permeability of the material ranges from 0 to 92%.
Transparent slate, as well as fiberglass-reinforced panels, are the most durable and durable among similar products (service life is 15-40 years). They are usually produced in rolls or sheets. Today, it is the leader in the category of transparent roofing materials according to such indicators as: reliability, durability, ability to withstand large loads, optimal price-quality ratio.
Ego should not be confused with polycarbonate and other PVC materials. External similarity does not mean similar properties and characteristics. Polycarbonate is a rather fragile material, prone to destruction as a result of mechanical damage, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (drying) and exposure to minus temperatures. Reinforced fiberglass slate is completely devoid of such defects.
Fiberglass slate is produced in three versions: flat, with a round wave and trapezoidal.
Flat is used both as a roof covering of any shape and for wall structures.
Corrugated (profiled) sheets have a stiffening edge. In shape, they are similar to asbestos-cement slate, which is why they are often combined with each other.
Trapezoidal is well suited for integration with a profiled sheet (professional flooring) and other roofs.
The Fibroplast company offers the production of a profile according to an individual sketch, individual thickness from 1 to 4 mm and color.
Spheres of application of fiberglass as a whole and transparent panels (slate) TM Fibroplast
According to its properties, fiberglass is a reliable and durable material, which gives it a wide range of applications. Here are the main ones:
— automobile construction (body parts of cars, buses, trailers, etc.)
— shipbuilding (hulls of yachts, boats, boats; furniture, oars, ladders, etc.)
— refrigerator cabins of trucks (thickness 1.8-2 mm)
— construction (fittings, pipes, door and window profiles, pools, baths, etc.)
— aircraft construction and space industry.
Owing to its strength, impact resistance, low coefficient of thermal expansion, ego is often compared to metal. And its light weight and anti-corrosion properties give it advantages over metal products. The presence of electrical insulating properties, radiolucency, immunity to the effects of moisture, resistance to ultraviolet, atmospheric and aggressive chemical environments makes it possible for fiberglass to be actively used in the oil and gas industry, utilities, the production of appliances, equipment and many other industries.
Fields of application:
• Formation of roof covering.
The transparent roof is used in the construction of private, public, industrial, rural and constructed buildings. Fiberglass sheets can be used independently or combined with other roof coverings (possibility of manufacturing according to your type of roof, according to your sketches, thickness and color). This will not only give the structure originality and aesthetics, but also allow the light to freely enter the premises, which will increase the intensity of natural lighting and reduce electricity costs by up to 100%.
• Farms, poultry farms, greenhouses made of transparent slate.
A sufficient amount of natural light has a positive effect on the yield of agricultural crops, well-being, productivity and milk yield of animals.
• Design of arched structures, warehouses, hangars. The high flexibility of the material makes it possible to realize constructions of any shape.
• Fibroplast-reinforced slate is also a material for building private fences and fences. If necessary, it is used together with a metal mesh. This design is quite aesthetic, reliable and durable.
• Canopies for: cars, verandas, terraces, pools, solariums, sports and children's playgrounds.
A transparent canopy creates comfort, protects from rain, wind, and sunlight, but leaves enough light for a pleasant pastime.
This is the best option to protect the pool from contamination by leaves and dust, shade the pond from excessive sunlight. Also, such a design will allow you to use the pool during rain and other precipitation.
• To create visors over the porch or entrance doors.
The transparency of fiberglass does not "steal" light, reliably protects against possible precipitation, and also leaves the porch dry and clean.
• Internal partitions of commercial, production and service premises.
The material allows you to create light but strong partitions. Such transparent constructions will provide sufficient visibility, and are also able to protect personnel and equipment from injuries and damage in production.
Main advantages of fiberglass slate
The wide use of transparent fiberglass-reinforced slate or panels is due to its high consumer properties and a large number of objective advantages.
Key among them are:
Durability
Fibroplast slate (Czech Republic) is designed specifically for outdoor use, so the reinforced base and the included polyester resin can withstand significant mechanical effects of a static and dynamic nature. The roof made of it will not dry out (-60...+140 degrees), will not break under the weight of snow, hail or gusts of wind during the entire service life (15-30 years).
Economy.
The construction of hangars, industrial and agricultural buildings, as well as garages, sheds, construction of greenhouses (in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and other regions) will cost much less than capital construction. Transparency, strength, low light absorption allow you to save up to 100% on lighting, which allows you to fully compensate for investments in a transparent roof in a short period of time.
Integration with any roofing materials.
The Fibroplast company (Czech Republic) offers the production of transparent fiberglass panels to order:
— any profile according to your sketches;
— any thickness from 1 to 4 mm;
— any color and degree of transparency.
Resistance to the action of ultraviolet.
Unlike transparent ones covered with PVC, covered with a film to protect against UV, which burns out over time, after which the plastic is destroyed (cracks), Fibroplast transparent slate is based not on PVC, but on polyester resin, which, according to its technical characteristics, is not exposed to UV by 99%. Accordingly, after long-term operation, the coating does not change its physical and chemical properties (does not crack, does not break). The transparency allows both sunlight to pass through itself, without retaining them on the surface, and to shade if there is a pigment in the material (not painted on the surface). It has two positive points: the material does not break down, does not burn out over time, as it happens with many other roofing materials; there is no accumulation of heat on the surface followed by its return to the interior of the building. Metal, asbestos-cement sheets heat up during the day, in the evening they release thermal energy to the air inside the room, raising the temperature there.
Fire safety.
Reinforced fiberglass does not support combustion, does not emit acrid smoke. This is especially important when using this roofing material in residential premises. Withstands significant temperature fluctuations. The range of working temperatures at which the material does not change its properties is within -60...+140 degrees. For this reason, it is used in various conditions inside or outside the premises.
High thermal insulation properties.
It retains heat well indoors, it does not escape through the roof or walls. This causes its use in industrial, agricultural, residential buildings, greenhouses, winter gardens.
Small weight
Fiberglass is characterized by a small mass compared to other roofing materials. This allows you not to build reinforced structures, lay a strong foundation, and perform other strengthening work.
flexibility
Transparent wavy, trapezoidal or flat slate acts as a material for fastening to the base in the form of an arch, semi-arch, other geometric figures with corners or rounding.
Processing
The transparent Fibroplast panel can be easily cut without the use of professional tools, giving it the desired shape. Even a home craftsman will be able to cope with this task, using, for example, an electric jigsaw or a grinder.
Safety.
Fiberglass sheets do not form a large number of fragments when mechanically damaged, like glass - they cannot be cut. This determines the wide application of the material in places of work, people's pastime (especially important for the organization of children's recreation areas).
Environmental friendliness.
Harmful toxic substances are not released from the material under the influence of sunlight or precipitation. There is no unpleasant smell or other characteristic signs, so it is installed in residential premises.
Aesthetics.
Accurate execution, a large selection of colors, integration with any roofing materials help builders and designers decorate any room so that it harmoniously fits into the overall exterior.
Ease of installation.
Installation does not require the use of special tools. Uncomplicated technology, light weight, sheet sizes allow one person to perform the work without outside help. This affects the speed of the installation - the work is carried out in the shortest possible time.
Installation at any time of the year.
The properties of the material and its resistance to temperature changes allow installation work to be carried out in any weather, including winter.
Chemical stability.
Transparent panels do not change their appearance, their reliability does not decrease under the influence of rain containing chemically active substances. This is often observed near the relevant industries. It reliably protects plants and objects under the canopy from this negative factor.
The listed advantages are the reason to pay attention to this roofing material when carrying out work on the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, the development of the territory of any purpose. Its cost is fully compensated by the duration of operation (15-30 years) as a wall and roofing material.
Features of installation of transparent slate
One of the significant advantages of fiberglass roofing materials is the ease of their installation. For which you can contact any construction company that performs roofing work in Ukraine. But it can be done independently, it is important to take into account the particularities of laying, to follow the steps sequentially.
When performing the work independently, you need to consider:
• The slope of the roof should be at least 10-12 degrees. Otherwise, an increased static pressure is created on the surface, which negatively affects the service life of the building material.
• Laying is carried out on a crate made of metal or wood. It is necessary that the sheets overlap each other by 7-15 cm (1-2 waves).
• To avoid the formation of four-layer corners, the sheet material is offset by ½ sheet.
• Fastening is performed with special roofing screws in every third wave or every 25-30 cm. In order to avoid possible cracking of the material, holes are first drilled in it, the diameter of which is 2-4 mm larger than the fastener used.
• If there are extra protruding parts, they can be sawed off by yourself using a saw with fine teeth, electric jigsaw, grinder. In order for the design to meet the parameters of economy, durability, etc., it is necessary to observe the order and correctness of the installation stages:
• Creation of a frame made of wood or metal. Transparent reinforced slate can be attached to any material, unlike asbestos-cement. For reliable fastening, it is recommended to make the distance between the logs 40-80 cm, depending on the thickness of the material. This will make it possible to eliminate "sag" of the sheet, reduce the load on it.
• At a distance of 25-40 cm from each other, it is necessary to make through holes for installation, choosing a drill of the required diameter. This is done for the purpose of reliable fastening to the crate with the help of self-tapping screws.
• A sheet of transparent slate is attached to the metal construction of the frame, in which holes are made opposite to those made in metal. The transparency of the material makes it possible to do this without error, without additional measurements. This significantly saves time, eliminates the possibility of mistakes, mismatched holes.
• Fixing of the slate is carried out at the top of the wave, if it is present, by screwing the sheet with special bolts with a rubber gasket (precludes damage to the material by metalwork, prevents the possible flow of atmospheric precipitation).
• When performing installation work on the roof, when you have to move on the surface of the fiberglass roof, it is recommended to use a piece of board or plywood. It will evenly distribute the load on the material.
In Europe, the advantages of transparent reinforced panels have long been appreciated, they are widely used as wall and roofing material. Our company is the official representative of the Fibroplast plant in Ukraine - a well-known European manufacturer of high-quality fiberglass. Unlike other manufacturers, we can guarantee the best price-quality ratio.
Features of TM Fibroplast production
Fiberglass reinforced transparent slate (panels) is produced using a unique technology, its composition includes polyester resins that provide its properties: strength, durability, resistance to negative environmental factors. Among the main features of this production can be distinguished:
• The presence of fiberglass as a reinforcing substance significantly increases the strength of the fiberglass slate, makes it resistant to mechanical damage, and allows it to withstand significant static and dynamic loads.
• Sheet form of release. This allows you to accurately calculate the required number of sheets of the required size, without overpaying for extra meters of material, as is the case when buying rolls. Sheets are much easier to mount, especially when doing the work yourself.
• The availability of flat, wave and trapezoidal profile, as well as a profile according to an individual sketch, allows you to implement any ideas for roofing and full-fledged construction.
• Several standard sizes make it possible to choose the most suitable one, to optimize costs for project implementation.
• A long service life of 15-30 years is one of the main distinguishing features of this product on the building materials market.
• The main color range presented in Fibroplast products allows you to design any building, combining colors with the facade and other exterior elements.
• The special thermally treated polymer included in the composition makes the transparent roof insensitive to ultraviolet radiation.
How to choose a transparent reinforced slate
The characteristics of the manufactured structure depend on the correct choice of transparent fiberglass slate. For this, it is necessary to take into account:
• Scope of application. It is recommended to take a flat profile for walls and fences, and a corrugated profile for the roof. But not always. This affects the appearance of the finished structure, speed, ease of installation and operational properties (water flows evenly from the roof in waves, its drainage is simplified).
• Facing area. The required amount of building material and its correct calculation depend on this.
• Light permeability. Colorless slate has the best light transmission (86-92%). It lets in the maximum amount of light necessary for normal lighting of the room, growth and development of plants and animals. Depending on the amount of pigment added, the specified indicator decreases up to 0%. They are good for facing constructions that assume the presence of a shadow. Its intensity is a selection criterion.
• Color. It is optimal to choose fiberglass, the color of which harmonizes with the external design of the building and the private territory. If this is not possible, it is recommended to choose neutral shades.
• Convenience of fastening, shape of the structure. Fiberglass sheets are suitable as a building material for structures of almost any configuration.
In order to purchase really high-quality products at the best price, it is recommended to order transparent panels (transparent slate) from the official representative of TM Fibroplast in Ukraine or at authorized points of sale.
