Non-reinforced PVC roofing membrane Monarplan D was developed by Icopal. The material is a single-layer coating made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride. Suitable for use in any climatic conditions.
The coating is single-layer, it does not have a reinforcing mesh (see photo). It is intended for installation in adjacent places. The main feature is susceptibility to the negative influence of chemical compounds. Including oil products. Therefore, when carrying out the installation of the coating where contact with such substances is likely, it is necessary to provide additional protection.
The Monarplan PVC-based roofing membrane is suitable for creating a waterproofing layer, both during the construction of a new roof and during the repair of an already operated one. If Monarplan D is installed on a cement-sand surface, it is recommended to additionally lay a layer of geotextile. Its density must be at least 300 gr. for 1 sq.m.
When installing on a bituminous surface, the geotextile should be twice as dense. If the surface is made of polystyrene, then a density of 180 g is sufficient. for 1 sq.m.
