ArcelorMittal is a global metallurgical corporation with many factories in different parts of our planet. The range of products it produces also includes thin-sheet galvanized steel with a polymer coating, which is used for the production of roofing materials (metal tiles, corrugated board, etc.). It should be noted that Arcelor metal (as it is called in our country) is of high quality, characterized by a high zinc content (220-275 g /m²). This contributes to good resistance to corrosion. The polymer coating is also distinguished by good color stability (the material does not fade in the sun for a very long time) and resistance to scratches that expose the metal and contribute to rapid corrosion of the sheet. The thickness of the metal ranges from 0.45 to 0.50 mm. This is quite enough to give any shape to a smooth sheet and maintain the rigidity of the metal tile.

Place of production

To minimize production times and reduce transportation costs that affect the cost of products, "Metal Tiles Germany", as well as "Metal Tiles Poland", are produced in the Kiev region, from imported metal from the corresponding country. At the ArcelorMittal plant, the steel is galvanized and painted with a polymer coating, and here they only give it a certain shape (metal tiles with different waves or corrugated roofing with a wide choice of profile heights). There is no point in doubting the quality of metal tiles rolled in Kiev from imported raw materials, since after stamping the metal does not lose its original characteristics. Therefore, it is not economically feasible to overpay and increase the terms of execution of individual orders due to logistics, delivering sheets of the required length from Germany or Poland.

That is, despite the slang expression "Metal tile Germany", tiles made entirely in this country can only be found in the form of modular ones (small, fixed length), and, to be honest, we have not heard of such tiles. No one in Germany will produce long sheets made to order for a specific roof, so they simply do not exist on our market. When buying German tiles, you are buying tiles made in Ukraine from German metal. This is the maximum that the Ukrainian market of roofing materials can offer the consumer at the moment.

Since there are five factories in the European region alone, metal comes to us from different countries. These are mainly Germany and Poland. France and Belgium are less common. It should be noted that at all factories the quality characteristics of the products produced there are more or less the same. But despite this, there is some excitement in our market specifically for "metal tiles Germany". After all, if you compare the amount of zinc, the thickness of the polymer coating and the thickness of the metal, you will not find any differences.
