Underlay material (in rolls) for the construction of the lower layer of the roof covering for the purpose of waterproofing. Weight 2.5 kg per m2. In a roll of 9 M2. Heat resistance - not less than 85 degrees. The base is fiberglass. The top is a film, the bottom is a film. HPP marking. Where X is fiberglass, P is underlayment, P is powdery sprinkle.
Where is it used?
It is used for the construction of the lower part of the roof and waterproofing (foundations, basements, plinths, etc.). If the roofing material can be used as an underlay, it cannot be used on the contrary - this roof will be quite short-lived. The material can be purchased on the Interbudservice website.
Advantages:
- good insulating ability
- a wide field of application
- increased heat resistance
- affordable price
Manufacturing method
Application of bituminous binder on both sides of fiberglass. The binder consists of bitumen, filler and technological additives. Next, a protective layer is applied to the two sides of the canvas, as which dust or polymer film is used.
How to prepare the surface
Roof repairs should be carried out in warm and dry weather. So that the roof does not sag under the weight of precipitation and coating in winter, calculate the load and specific weight before starting to lay the roofing material. Select the type of material. Clean the base from debris and dust.
Conducting works
Unroll the roll, try how the coating adheres to the base. Then determine the length. Cut the sheets with the measured length already before stacking. If the base is wooden, fasten the material with a construction stapler or nails (self-tapping screws). The concrete surface is first covered with a heated bituminous layer, roofing mastic or primer. Next, the underlay roofing material is laid in two layers. A layer of coarse-grained powder is laid on top.
